RESTING-STICK MEASUREMENT
Stick drift test
Leave both analog sticks untouched for ten seconds to measure the movement your browser reports.
Connect with USB or Bluetooth, focus this page and press a controller button.

Resting-stick measurement
This describes the input exposed by your browser. Firmware and remapping software can already apply deadzones. These readings do not certify hardware condition.
Raw readings & input history
Indices are shown as reported by the browser. Unknown layouts are not assigned stick or trigger names.

How to test for stick drift
- Connect your controller and press a button to make it visible.
- Move each stick once, release it and place the controller on a stable surface.
- Choose the 10-second drift test. Keep this tab visible and do not touch the sticks.
- Read each stick’s mean, maximum and 95th-percentile radial offset. Repeat after moving and releasing the sticks again.
What does the percentage mean?
Offset is the distance from the reported centre: √(X² + Y²), expressed as a percentage of one normalized axis unit. It is not a percentage of damaged hardware. A momentary maximum can differ from the level seen during most samples.
Why can a controller drift in a game but read zero here?
The game and browser may receive different mappings or apply different settings. A driver, firmware profile or remapper can filter the input before the tester receives it. Compare under the same conditions and check the affected game’s deadzone.
