STICK RANGE & RESPONSE
Controller deadzone test
Move each stick, trace its outer range and adjust the shaded preview to understand what a deadzone covers.
Connect with USB or Bluetooth, focus this page and press a controller button.

Resting-stick measurement
This describes the input exposed by your browser. Firmware and remapping software can already apply deadzones. These readings do not certify hardware condition.
Raw readings & input history
Indices are shown as reported by the browser. Unknown layouts are not assigned stick or trigger names.

Use the preview to understand your inputs
The slider changes a shaded circle around the stick’s centre. Your original X and Y readings remain visible. It does not apply a deadzone to your controller, operating system or games.
Rotate each stick slowly through a full circle. The session records the furthest radius observed in 16 angular sectors. A sector counts as covered after reaching a radius of 0.75; this is a practical coverage marker, not a controller specification or pass/fail threshold.
Round and square stick ranges
Some mappings describe an almost circular range; others reach farther diagonally. Values beyond a radius of 1 can occur when both axes approach their individual limits. A perfectly round trace is not a universal requirement.
For a repeatable comparison, use the same browser, controller profile and connection. Read the measurement method.
