Documentation, examples and physical tests

Our setup guides cite manufacturer documentation. A model appearing in the directory does not mean we have physically tested it. Illustrative diagrams and demo inputs explain the interface and are labelled accordingly. Product photographs or performance observations must not be presented as first-hand evidence unless they come from that test.

Physical records

A published compatibility record names the model, browser, operating system, connection, firmware/profile where available, test date and observed features. Another configuration can behave differently. The database does not infer a passing test from a manufacturer specification.

Buying comparisons

We compare platform support, connections, controls and configuration requirements before recommending a shortlist. Published hands-on reviews should identify the reviewer, testing setup, photographs and tradeoffs. We do not create ratings from marketing specifications or call a controller best based only on a sensor type.

Corrections

Model variants and software change. Send a correction with the exact model and a primary source or reproducible test. Updated pages should state what evidence was checked.
