Controller input and local storage

Buttons, axes and reports are processed on your device. The tester does not send live controller input or imported reports to a reporting server. Optional snapshots use local storage under ct-snapshots-v1, with a maximum of ten records. The theme preference uses ct-theme. These records remain until you clear them or your browser removes site data.

Reports can contain a device name, browser version, selected model, time and notes you enter. Downloaded JSON/CSV files and printed copies are controlled by you. Review their contents before sharing. Read the detailed tester storage explanation.

Website requests and hosting

Loading pages sends normal requests to our hosting and delivery services. Those requests can include an IP address, browser information, requested URL, time and referring page. They support page delivery, security and troubleshooting. A selected model in a URL can therefore appear in request logs even though controller readings stay local.

Contact messages

The contact form sends your name, email address, message and page context to the site team by email so we can respond. It does not automatically include controller reports. Messages may remain in the team’s mailbox while an enquiry is handled and for reasonable follow-up. Do not send sensitive personal data. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of information you supplied.

External links and optional services

Manufacturer, software and retailer links lead to other websites with their own privacy practices. Affiliate links, when identified, may let a retailer attribute a referral. The ControllerTester plugin itself does not install advertising, analytics pixels or third-party tracking cookies. Any additional services configured by the site operator are described below.

For information about hosting-log retention or services outside the tester, contact the site team. This website’s tester features do not require advertising or analytics tracking.

You can use the tester without an account or sending a message. Clear saved snapshots from the tester or remove this site’s storage in your browser. For questions or requests relating to information held by the team, use Contact ControllerTester.
