CONNECTION & TESTING GUIDE

NACON controller tester

Test NACON Revolution inputs and learn how PC mode, saved profiles and controller variants affect the browser readings.

Your selection is recorded separately from the browser’s device identity.

    Connect your NACON controller

Revolution 5 Pro and Revolution Unlimited Pro have platform modes. Select the manufacturer’s PC mode when testing on Windows; configuration-app mode and normal PC play mode are not necessarily the same.

Revolution X models are a separate Xbox/PC family. Start from the correct product manual instead of applying PlayStation Revolution switch instructions to every NACON controller.

    1. Confirm the controller’s platform mode and supported connection. Use a USB data cable or the receiver specified for that exact model.
    2. Focus this page, press a face button and choose the responding device from the connected-controller menu.
    3. Press and release each control. Check raw indices if the device has no standard mapping.
    4. Record your connection, software profile and trigger-stop setting before saving a snapshot.

    MODEL NOTES

    Choose your NACON

    NACON

    Revolution 5 Pro

Select PC mode for a Windows test. Record the saved profile and do not infer PS5 haptic support from browser rumble.

    NACON

    Revolution X Pro

Use its wired USB connection. Note the Revolution X profile and any modified stick or trigger response curves.

    NACON

    Revolution X Unlimited

Xbox and PC family: follow this exact model’s connection instructions and record the active profile.

    NACON

    Revolution Unlimited Pro

Legacy PS4/PC model: switch to PC mode for PC play after configuring profiles in the companion app.

Check the profile before judging the stick trace

NACON configuration software can change stick response, trigger behaviour and button assignments. A centre reading can therefore reflect an active profile as well as the physical position. Save a snapshot with the profile name before making a controlled comparison.

Revolution 5 Pro rumble support differs between PC/PS4 use and native PS5 games. Browser rumble availability is a further, separate requirement. A successful input test does not establish adaptive-trigger or console haptics support.

For Revolution Unlimited Pro, the manufacturer distinguishes wired configuration mode from the PC mode used for XInput games. If the companion app sees the controller but this test does not respond, recheck the mode rather than repeatedly changing browser labels.

Turn a reading into a useful comparison

Check one variable at a time. For unwanted stick movement, release the sticks onto a stable surface and run the ten-second resting test. For a missing action, compare a direct button press with its rear-button assignment. Save a note identifying the active profile so a later result can be reproduced.

The browser-reported device name can describe a virtual gamepad. The optional model reference is your selection, not automatic hardware identification. Brand listing does not guarantee vibration, independent paddles or vendor-specific controls in your browser.
